Runeterra’s second alpha phase did poorly based on Twitch traffic. Runeterra will make under $15M on mobile in 2020.

Also in 2019, land sales began (an extension of the Axie Universe, which we’ll break apart in a later section), the marketplace shifted over to the Loom Network (a Layer 2 on Ethereum), and the card battle game community alpha released. In general, it was still a year of laying the foundation for future user growth and engagement.

Axie Origin is still in Alpha, and one could say it’s unreasonable to expect it to pull in large player numbers prior to full release and the launch of its token economy.
