For those of you not in-the-know, FMOD is a cross-platform music and sound middleware engine and it's quite impressive. It was bare bones, but it got the job done for the simple prototypes I was working on at the time. So I added to our homespun sound engine. I'll integrate FMOD into my engine.

in January 2020, we switched the development focus towards the upcoming Godot 4.0 , which is a major, compatibility-breaking rewrite of the engine's core and rendering. Additional funding will enable us to hire more core developers to work full-time on the engine, and thus further improve its development pace and stability.

The only true bright spot was Art of War , which despite prototype level production quality has scaled up to over 5M in net revenue a month with no stop in sight! But please keep in mind that Hearthstone is cross-platform title making likely over 80% of its revenue on PC. Card Battlers used to be a sub-genre led by Hearthstone.

That makes them the closest thing in games to a rock supergroup: Maya Kylmamaa (Game Lead, Engineer) , was CEO of the now defunct Reforged Studios (a Helsinki studio focused on AAA strategy games). She previously was Technical Lead at League of Legends and a Software Engineer at several expansions of World of Warcraft , among others.

Post launch, those were replaced by a re-engineered version of “Crew Expendable” from the original MW. Little known fact: both TiMi and Lightspeed pitched for the creation of CoD Mobile, developing two incredibly polished prototypes in less than a month. Lightspeed came in with a mobile rendition of a single player campaign mission.
