Sony's decision to withdraw Concord from the market and refund those who purchased it, made only two weeks after the launch of the game, feels both entirely unsurprising and yet somehow also a little shocking. After the strongly negative reaction to the game when it headlined Sony's State of Play at the start of summer, the company seemed to have entirely lost faith in Firewalk's hero shooter.

Performers union SAG-AFTRA has secured agreements with the developers behind 80 upcoming games as it continues to strike over better conditions for actors, including protection against the use of AI. The union announced that several developers have now signed either tiered-budget or interim video game agreemeents, including some who have not been targeted by the strike action.

Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund is set to transfer its games-related stock to its subsidiary Savvy Games Group from 2025. That's according to a Savvy representative talking to Nikkei , with the move part of a wider plan to leverage IP across the Middle East, the Japanese publication reported. Going forward, the country's PIF is set to expand its involvement in games beyond investments to "active collaboration," even though it's unclear exactly what that means at this stage.

Spiders has shared an update following its staff's strike, sharing the results of its mandatory annual negotiations resulting in salary increases and remote working agreements, and announced an audit of the working conditions at the studio. Minimum salary at the French studio will rise 11%, "aligning with the requests of the union delegation," the Nacon-owned studio said.

Hi, I have new notebook with new cocos installation and my old project is failing to build for native iOS. My project was originally for cocos 3.7.0 I installed only the latest editor 3.8.3 Then I’ve upgraded project for 3.8.3 I’ve opened the project in 3.8.3 editor and all works fine except iOS native build says: [Assets] Please check if Xcode is installed.
