It seems that this issue was not in the alpha version of the game and that it appeared now. If you have one of these issues, you might be unable to get over 20-30 FPS or sometimes your FPS drops very low and you can’t play the game. Users are encountering crashes both in career mode and in sandbox mode.

Step by step to dense vegetation and acceptable FPS. The big problem was (and still is in some cases): HOW CAN WE GENERATE DENSE VEGETATION AND PLACE IT FAST AND WITHOUT TO MUCH FPS DROP AFTER THE GENERATION PROCESS ? In my case I had terrible FPS with just some thousand mesh instances. FPS on my machine.

Bastiaan and Andreas' main focus currently remains with the OpenVR SDK allowing them to use Godot with SteamVR - that interface will likely be available in the upcoming alpha build. It allows to navigate through the scene with FPS-like controls (WASD) and will be pretty useful to get a better view of your 3D levels. x until the 3.0

GLES3: Force depth prepass when using alpha prepass ( GH-39865 ). HTML5: More fixes, audio fallback, fixed FPS ( GH-40052 ). GLES2: Fixed mesh data access errors in GLES2 ( GH-40235 ). GLES2: Batching - Fix FORCE_REPEAT not being set properly on npot hardware ( GH-40410 ). Build HTML5 templates with threads_enabled=yes to test it.
