Currently in production, Gerel: Against the Corvus Empire is a 2D pixel art side-scrolling platformer with Metroidvania elements. Cinematic for Gerel: Against the Corvus Empire produced by Alan, Dogyeong, and Joona. She was also responsible for the cover art and all the illustrated frames in the game’s opening cinematic.
What caught my attention wasn’t just her confidence on the panel but the fact that she was not only a student pursuing three majors at Wits University she was also the Lead Concept artist at Chroma Pixel Games , a game studio based in Zambia. Animation was my first choice because I wanted to do cinematic animation.
