The Backend Jungle: A Short Guide for Game Executives

Deconstructor of Fun

As a non-technical person at a studio, backends never really entered my sphere of interest. It was something I comfortably left for the CTOs and Tech Leads to worry about. Michael Blaker’s Video Game Tuesday: Why I Don’t Use Scores in Blog Posts

Game Industry News

Hey all, I’m back with the answer to a question I get fairly often for this week’s Video Game Tuesday. It’s all about why I don’t use scores in blog posts. Scores?: I don’t score things unless it’s in a full-on review that goes up under GiN’s game review or book review sections. If I had the choice, I wouldn’t give out scores at all because, frankly, it’s not a great metric.
