IGN Entertainment has acquired the Gamer Network family of digital brands for an undisclosed sum. As a result of the acquisition, some redundancies have been made across the UK-based organisation. Gamer Network’s publications are GamesIndustry.biz, Eurogamer (including six local language editions) , Rock Paper Shotgun, VG247 and Dicebreaker. The business also holds shares in Outside Xbox, Digital Foundry and Hookshot (which operates Nintendolife, PushSquare, PureXbox and Time Extension ).

A new report has found that 46% of gamers play video games for the ability to create, use their imagination, and as a form of self-expression. That's according to entertainment and gaming wiki Fandom, which published its fifth annual 2024 Inside Gaming Report on Monday. Fandom surveyed 5,000 of its users from across the globe, and found that players using games as a form of self-expression has increased 10% year-on-year.

mr.kylin: By toggling the CUSTOM_TEST macro, you can package two different versions and see the differences in the content of the published packages. Are you 100% sure about this?? Cocos Creator doesn’t handle string-typed enums in its properties, and since I needed to use such an enum (coming from an external library, which I couldn’t modify) to create a dropdown in the inspector, I searched for a solution.
