Solo dev Feryaz Beer’s debut Super Fantasy Kingdom “A weird mashup of genres”

Feryaz Beer didn’t pick the easiest of genres for his debut game Super Fantasy Kingdom. Actually, the roguelite city builder is a mashup of different genres that Beer somehow managed to glue together. Game development began as a hobby but became serious very fast. “I can focus, really dive deep into it, and make it perfect”, he says. Beer has been learning some valuable lessons along the way.

ReedPop and ESA part ways over E3

PAX organiser ReedPop will not be working on future E3 events, the company and the ESA have announced. The ESA has also informed the Los Angeles Convention Center, which is the traditional home of E3, that it will not be putting a show on there in 2024. The ESA has not cancelled plans for a 2024 event, but if one was to go ahead, it won’t take place in that venue.

Atari today announced that it has agreed to acquire the Atari-focused community and news site AtariAge. The site will continue to operate under the management of AtariAge founder Albert Yarusso and his team of volunteer moderators, and Yarusso will also take a role with Atari as the company's internal historian. AtariAge launched in 1998 under the name Atari 2600 Nexus, and was re-launched as AtariAge in 2001.
