Last month I finally got done signing over 7000 cards for the Limited Run Games physical release of Monkey Island. They asked if I would hand sign cards to go in the boxes. Sure, how many can that be? 500? 800? Nope. They had over 7000 preorders and I signed every one of those cards. If you bought one of the LRG Monkey Island boxes you won't get a Certificate of Authenticity with a crappy machine printed signature.
In this episode, Soren interviews veteran game developer Chet Faliszek, who co-founded Stray Bombay and is best known for his work at Valve on games such as Left 4 Dead and Portal 2. They discuss what shampoo sales have to do with Old Man Murray, why he tests his games in a foreign language, and why game design is easier for co-op games. This episode was recorded August 17, 2021.
Hey all I’m back with a look at the Light Novel version of a series I covered years back for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s Monster Tamer Volume 01 by Higure Minto! Plot: The plot is still fairly dark, with the main characters witnessing some really despicable acts. That said this first entry is about the same as what I covered years back, which isn’t what I was expecting when I read this.

What is a canvas? A canvas is similar to a real life physical canvas used by painters. It is basically a space that can be used to draw on. Unlike a real canvas an HTML canvas can have the image data added and removed with ease. Canvases are usually used when you want to have some form of interaction with the user or you want the users computer to do all the computation instead of the server.
Up to this point, we have talked at great length about personalities, masters of the film industry. We dipped into the styles of Martin Scorsese , Darren Aranofsky , Bong Joon-ho , and many others. However, today we would like to focus on the universal techniques of the film industry with which films are made. This blog will be devoted to the list of shot sizes and how they can be applied by different filmmakers.

There was a moment of chaos. The liquid before Dan’s eyes clouded suddenly white, and formless sounds buzzed. He moved to tear the device from his head, but emerging forms in the mistiness caught his interest. Giant things were writhing there Pygmalion’s Spectacles, Stanley G. Weinbaum. Do you know the novel entitled Pygmalion’s Spectacles, written by Stanley G.

The Godot games showreel for 2021 is up! As every year, more and more quality submissions fall in our hands, making the selection job very difficult. This year was not an exception, as we had had a record submission amount (over 300). This time, several core contributors had to take the work of ranking them to decide which would make up the final reel.
HERE THERE BE SPOILERS. Season 4’s premiere certainly promises an interesting season, even if some of the story beats felt a touch rushed in the episode’s hour long runtime. “Kobyashi Maru” structures Michael Burnham’s first run in the Big Chair as an exploration of just how far she still has to go to be a good captain, but the episode acknowledges that she isn’t on the only one.
