Last issue, we shared the texturing work Cass had started on the forest homes, many of which resemble beautiful log cabins due to the intricate woodwork featured throughout. The last time we met, we were right in the thick of preparing an early, pre-demo build of Kristala for unveiling at the PlayNYC virtual convention. Now that he's done with the model itself, Cass will focus on unwrapping the UV's before getting started on the detailed texturing for this colossal beauty.
Once he's modeled all three sets, Cass will then begin the tedious texturing process for each one. This sprint, Karena was able to complete her model and begin texturing. Our team was a bit more drawn to the darker version, so you'll see that set featured in the Kristala demo once it's released on Steam, itch.io, and Gamejolt.
Since then, we've been laser-focused on our next big milestone: completing the entire vertical slice for Kristala.Which means we're inching closer and closer to the official release of the game's demo too. Both the Nisargan Impaler and Rosethorne swords Cass worked on this sprint will be available to you in the Kristala demo.
