Thank you so much for telling me how to find that component, but it’s too bad it’s not related to the original problem, which is the shader. ;-( It’s simply an error log caused by a missing asset in some component. Applying a gradient shader with 5 colors to the label works fine, but applying the same shader to the spirte doesn’t work, and the 2-color graident in the code I posted earlier doesn’t work either.

Thoughts on the Concord situation? Sony just announced refunds at that the game is getting delisted. What do you think went wrong?

Ask a Game Dev

I think that the core issue with Concord was just that it doesn't do enough to stand out from its competitors like Overwatch, Valorant, R6 Siege, or Apex Legends. I can briefly comment on the purported eight year dev cycle - no game really has a real dev cycle that long, that's longer than an entire console generation. Most games with long dev times spend the last 2-3 years in actual development and the first block spinning their wheels or restarting from scratch.

Shader doesn't work on brower, or run it in the editor

Cocos

I ended up not finding the asset with the UUID I mentioned in my last question, and everything else was fine without it. Just to be on the safe side, I deleted all assets and reloaded them, but I’m still having the same problem. I’m wondering if I should give up on using materials and shaders and just make them images. I’ve been looking for a solution for 4 days now and can’t seem to figure it out.
