GDScript progress report: Feature-complete for 4.0

Mircosoft Game Dev

It has been a while since my last report. In my last post , I've mentioned GDNative, but since I've done only a bunch of "boring" stuff, I ended up not writing anything about it. Work on GDNative is not completed yet, so maybe I'll have something interesting to report later on. For now, let me show what was done on GDScript. See other articles in this Godot 4.0 GDScript series: GDScript progress report: Writing a tokenizer.

Shocking style of Darren Aronofsky

Filmustage

Darren Aronofsky's movies are unlikely to be popular among the masses. Even many movie lovers are critical of his works and claim that his films are hard to watch. Aronofsky is engaged in the deconstruction of personality, his images deeply sink into the subconscious and haunt the entire film. However, the inconsistency of his work suggests that it is an art that has a particular message.

Anime Sunday: Most Anticipated Summer 2021 Anime

Game Industry News

Hey all I’m back with a look at the season ahead of us for this week’s Anime Sunday. It’s my Most Anticipated Summer 2021 Anime! Realist Hero: I rather enjoyed the original source material, which is a rather unsual take on the Isekai genre, since it focuses mostly on things most would find boring. That being said it can get a bit dark, which makes sense since the main character’s main influence on his outlook is Machiavelli.

Game Classification: Defining AAA, AA, and III Games

At first, games were just games. Good games, bad games; big games, little games. Then came the rise of the AAA game. Suddenly a game either was or was not AAA. Inevitably, other classifications followed. In this article, we try to dig into what those are and what they mean. Along the way, we also propose some clearer and more concrete definitions for those terms than currently exist.

Long before physical instructional manuals were replaced in favor of in-game tutorials and storytelling, there was the overlay. So, yes – school is out until September- and after the year we just had, its feels like we just went back into lockdown with the wife working from home, kids bored out of their skulls and me running around dealing with 2 constantly hungry small people,
