Retro Game Friday: P.N.03

Game Industry News

Hey all I’m back with a game that was rather less than memorable from the creators of Devil May Cry for this week’s Retro Game Friday. It’s P.N.03! Plot: Frankly it’s not the greatest, and even looking back I couldn’t remember much of it beyond fighting robots. That said it’s definitely a different sort of game than DMC.

I chose slot 1 which represents the start of a campaign with a "cr8 base" theme (grungy brick / concrete / metal industrial sci-fi) and shotgun / nailgun (+ optional super shotgun / grenade launcher s

Eight Years at GiN!

Game Industry News

Hey all I’m back with an unscheduled post today to celebrate another anniversary! It’s been 8 Years! 8 Years?!: I know, I can hardly believe I’ve been writing for 8 years now. I look back at my blog and think about how very cringe worthy some of my early posts and reviews are compared to how I write now. Some of them were excessively wordy, so I’m glad I’ve learned to be more concise.

Game Industry News

Hey all I’m back with another classic for this week’s Movie Monday. It’s The Karate Kid! Plot: The plot is pretty solid, and while it’s very much the standard 80’s action flick stuff, it also is a coming of age story. Frankly I won’t go into the story much, if you haven’t seen this you really need to watch it.

The evolution of special effects in cinema

Filmustage

We are used to talking about directors, cinematographers and actors because they are the most visible in the filmmaking process. However, filmmaking is a complex process in which a huge number of people are involved. What about those who work on costumes and sets? And the stunts?
