I’ve been knee-deep in rewriting the Untold Engine , transitioning it from C++ to Swift. Moving to Swift has been a game-changer, making the engine not only faster and more modern but much easier to work with. Built on ECS Architecture The Untold Engine is powered by Entity-Component-System (ECS) architecture. What’s Next?
Week 3 was focused on getting textures into the render engine, making a camera so the user can move around the scene, and the creation of a new mesh class that takes advantage of the VBO and EBO classes.
Download Links Windows Mac Release Note Engine New Features Added functionality for manually loading Wasm/AsmJS modules to improve initial scene load speed. Enabled “inline enums” and “private property compression” for engine code. Fixed raycast errors in the Bullet engine. Migu Platform : Added support.
GH-98163 ) CSGMesh3D now explicitly requires the mesh to be manifold. A manifold mesh must be closed, have each edge connected to only two faces, and have volume. Commonly, this means that it needs to be a watertight mesh without any holes and where you can never see the backside of the triangles. (

returns to its own physics engine which, despite not being a high end physics engine like PhysX, aims to offer a lot more flexibility and “just works” capabilities to users. The custom physics engine still has a considerable amount of issues remaining but we are working hard to ensure it is in a decent state for shipping when 4.0
Each image part was converted to mesh. The USP of Spine animation software is how smoothly it converts an image part to mesh. In each mesh vertices are placed to define how we want to move the character. Bones are created to help the mesh move and provide fine-tuned control. It is these vertices which can be moved.

Unreal Engine is an open and advanced real-time 3D creation platform. Evolving from its state-of-the-art use in game engines into a multitude of industries, Unreal Engine is an open and advanced real-time 3D creation platform. Learn how to set up Hardware Ray Tracing in Unreal Engine 5. Then you’re all set!
Digital sculpting software, however, uses an extremely high-resolution polygon mesh (or a voxel grid). This mesh can be modeled like traditional clay with a vast array of tools, giving modelers more freedom and flexibility in their work. This process is called retopology and represents an industry of its own.
This is also a stage where you should not rush in order to get a perfect mesh flow. I used a Blinn Shader on the asset to spot any issues with the mesh. A high poly mesh model of the gun came into being. Then I unwrapped the low poly mesh model into three UV sets in order to get a good resolution of the textures.

As a general rule of thumb, if a mechanic breaks theme immersion, is fiddly by necessity, or doesn’t mesh with existing mechanics then save yourself the time and drop it. Sign 2: the mechanic conflicts with the core engine. If a mechanic conflicts with your game’s core engine, drop it. Back to the drawing board!
In my opinion, this feature is rather useless and I don't think any mainstream 3D engine supports extra object pivots either. In a scene description format, materials can be contained in instances (as in, the instance is the mesh used, the transform in the world, and the material) or inside meshes (mesh comes with a material).
We appreciate your help and work to improve the engine. We also have added a new demo project that will share many of the new upgrades that have come with 3.7 and previous updates. You can download it from the Cocos Store.
Optimize any part of your game by rewriting it transparently in C++, or any language that can compiled to native code for the target platform, wihout recompiling the engine or templates. The new particle system uses meshes by default (to work with impostor quads, just create a QuadMesh and assign a material with billboard set to enabled).
First of all, you need to make sure your meshes have an UV2 layer. Godot lightmapper works with one texture per mesh, so sharing UVs between meshes will not give you more optimization. In any case, Godot makes the process of generating unique UVs for each mesh easier for you. How do I use it? Generating UV2 Layer.
Traditionally, artists and engineers raster or ray-trace individual effects such as shadows, reflections, or indirect lighting. Displaced Micro-Mesh and Opacity Micro-Map SDKs give developers the tools and sample code for the creation, compression, manipulation, and rendering of micro-meshes.
