Report: Mobile puzzle games have made $42bn in the last decade

A new Sensor Tower report says mobile puzzle games have generated $42 billion since the company began tracking data in 2013. Real-time puzzles such as Tetris and Traffic Jam Fever saw significant growth between January 2022 and March 2023, with a 103% increase in downloads and a 64% rise in revenue.

Square Enix shutting down two Dragon Quest mobile games

Square Enix will be shutting down two of its Dragon Quest mobile games in Japan. Action RPG Dragon Quest Champions and puzzle game Dragon Quest Keshi Keshi will be shut down by the end of July, as announced on social media for both games. Champions will cease operations on July 30, 2024, followed by Keshi Keshi on July 31. Read more
